HISTORY
The Federation of Guadalupanos was chartered in 1981 by then Most Reverend Archbishop Patrick J. Flores. Its purpose was twofold:
(1) to serve as an umbrella organization for Societies of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Guadalupanas/Guadalupanos) in the Archdiocese, and (2) plan and organize the annual Archdiocesan Feast Day celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Since our inception, the primary vision has not changed.

VISION STATEMENT
To promote a devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of God and Our Mother, throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio and establish a Society of Guadalupanos in every parish of the Archdiocese.
MISSION STATEMENT
To develop the leadership skills of Federation members so that they may better participate in and support the mission of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
PROJECTS
To plan and implement the spiritual and material projects that the Archbishop of San Antonio and/or the Federation’s Spiritual Director, and/or the Board may recommend to the Federation.
MEMBERSHIP AND DUES
Group members are all the Guadalupana(o) parochial societies that have paid the annual dues ($20.00 each) as required by the Federation. These will be called Affiliated Societies and will be represented by up to two (2) delegates. The delegates may be officers of the Affiliated Society or may be society members appointed by the President of the Affiliated Society to represent it at the Federation meetings. Each delegate shall be entitled to one (1) vote on all matters submitted to a vote at Federation meetings.
Individual members are individuals that belong to a parish without an Affiliated Society that have paid the annual dues ($5.00 each) as required by the Federation. Individual members are entitled to one (1) vote each up to two votes and up to two votes maximum for each parish without an Affiliated Society and paid up individual members shall have the rights to participate in the State Convention/biennial Conference or in monthly General Membership meetings and to receive information regarding the Federation.

As information:
Affiliated Societies are members who have paid their annual dues of $20.00. Among the benefits of being an Affiliated Society is the eligibility to vote on business conducted by the Federation to include the privilege of voting during election of officers, when elections are conducted. Affiliated Societies are entitled to two votes per Society. Please use this opportunity to become a member of the Federation for 2023.
We also welcome Individual Memberships for $5.00 for those individuals who are not members of an Affiliated Society or do not have a Guadalupano Society in their parish. Individual members are entitled to one vote. You cannot be both a member of an Affiliated Society and an Individual Member.
This year's membership form has been sent. If you have not already done so, please print and complete your application upon receipt and mail it with your check/money order to the Federation of Guadalupanos. The mailing address appears on the application. Please make payments payable to: Federation of Guadalupanos.

MEETINGS
Group and individual members described above are welcome at Federation meetings and may participate in discussion and otherwise contribute to the Federation’s business.
Board of Directors Meetings
The Board of Directors shall meet during the first week of every month. Meeting dates and location shall be designated by the President and can be changed to accommodate the availability of Board members, preclude conflicts with religious events or activities, or because of unsafe weather conditions, or for any other reason deemed prudent by the President.
General Membership Meetings
The Board and the representatives of the Affiliated Societies and individual members wishing to attend shall meet at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of every month. No meeting will be scheduled during the month of July except for Special Meetings called by the Board. The meetings will be held at the location designated by the Board of Directors.
